How to plan a landing page that earns enquiries

A landing page is a decision path, not a compressed company brochure. It should help a particular visitor understand one offer and take the next sensible step.

Short answer

The useful numbers, with the conditions attached.

  • Match the page to one campaign, audience and action.
  • Put the offer, relevance and trust information before ornamental sections.
  • Measure completion and quality of enquiries, then refine the page deliberately.
01

Match the page to the visitor’s starting point

Someone who clicked an Instagram offer, a Google ad or a QR code has arrived with a specific expectation. The first screen should confirm that they are in the right place using the offer, service area or need that brought them there. A generic corporate introduction makes them work to reconnect the click with the page.

Choose one primary action: request a quote, call, book a consultation, see availability or start an order. Secondary links are fine when they reduce genuine uncertainty, but a landing page loses force when it asks a visitor to choose among five unrelated paths.

  • Campaign or referral source
  • Specific audience and problem
  • One primary call to action
  • A useful confirmation or follow-up route
02

Answer the reason to believe

A promise needs support. Use details that an owner can verify: an explained process, relevant work, clear eligibility, real customer permission-based feedback, location information or what is included. Claims such as ‘best’ or ‘trusted’ do not become stronger by being repeated in a larger typeface.

Put practical conditions near the offer. If a service has a coverage area, preparation requirement, starting price, lead time or limitation, say it early enough to prevent unsuitable enquiries. Better qualification can be more valuable than a larger count of vague messages.

  • What is offered
  • Who it is for
  • How the process works
  • Evidence and relevant conditions
03

Make the action easy to complete

Ask only for information needed to respond or qualify the request. A long form can be appropriate for a complex service, but every field should have a reason. On a phone, make input labels clear, use appropriate keyboards for phone and email fields, and show what happens after submission.

WhatsApp and click-to-call can be helpful for Bahrain customers who prefer a fast conversation, but they need an owner ready to respond. Route each action into a real operating process; an attractive button that sends enquiries into an unchecked personal phone is not conversion design.

  • Clear labels and required fields
  • Obvious consent or privacy explanation where used
  • Confirmation message
  • Tested phone, WhatsApp and email routing
04

Improve from evidence, not button colour folklore

Track the journey you care about: submitted enquiries, booked appointments, completed orders or qualified calls. If possible, record the source and outcome of an enquiry so the business can see whether a campaign brings suitable leads rather than only form completions.

Change one meaningful thing at a time where traffic permits: the offer framing, missing proof, form length or campaign-to-page match. Avoid declaring success from a few days of noise. A review should connect visitor behaviour with the real sales conversation that followed.

  • Track primary action completion
  • Review enquiry quality
  • Check mobile behaviour
  • Document changes and their rationale

Common questions

Questions worth settling before you commit.

Can a homepage be a landing page?

It can, but a campaign normally performs better with a page built around that campaign’s single offer and audience.

Should I put prices on a landing page?

If a starting price or price range helps qualify visitors and the business can stand behind it, it can be useful. Do not invent certainty where a quote depends on assessment.

How many calls to action should there be?

Repeat one primary action at useful points in the page. The number of buttons matters less than their clarity and consistency.
